Dear Students and Parents,
True education is that which imparts values and virtues, but in the current education system, values are being neglected. Due to education lacking morality, integrity, and spirituality, instability, unrest, exploitation, oppression, and corruption have become prevalent in our society. Although progress has been made in many areas, earning our nation respect globally, the expected developmental outcomes over this extended period have not been fully realized.
Children are the center of our hope. They are the future protectors of our country, its traditions, and cultural heritage. The development of their personalities encompasses the growth of our civilization and culture. Today's children are tomorrow's leaders. Connecting them with our land and ancestors is the clear, simple, and direct goal of education. Through proper education and strong values, we must ensure the all-round development of every child. Education and values are the birthright of every child. This right was expressed by our ancestors through the maxim "Mata Guruḥ" — meaning that the responsibility of imparting education and values lies with both the family and society.
In contemporary times, we have significantly neglected both family and societal responsibilities. The duty of imparting education and values, which rightfully belongs to every household, is now being shifted entirely onto schools. Our society, willingly or unwillingly, is experiencing powerful waves of change. The advancement of knowledge and science, rapid development in electronics and technology, the transformative role of computers, and the increasing influence of media have completely reshaped modern lifestyles. Consequently, our behavior, thinking patterns, and core values have evolved.
In this dynamic and ever-changing environment, the role of schools becomes extremely important as they bear the significant responsibility of preparing the present generation for the future in accordance with the hopes and expectations of society and the nation. Today, as an independent country, India needs educational institutions where young minds can learn courteous behavior, respectful communication, discipline, morality, social service, and patriotism to develop a strong sense of national identity.
At Saraswati Gyan Mandir Inter College, we are committed to providing an education that balances academic excellence with strong moral values, preparing our students not just for successful careers, but for meaningful lives that contribute positively to society's advancement.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. I am confident that by working together as a united school community, we can make each academic year memorable and successful for all our students.
